Artist Bio
Micah Taylor is a versatile concert cellist known for blending classical technique with global and improvisational influences. Drawing on West African traditions, and classical techniques, Micah creates performances that are both grounded and exploratory. Frequent appearances at regional festivals and concert series across the Southeast USA has seen him sharing the stage with everyone from Awadagin Pratt to the Temptations.
Known for his expressive style and collaborative spirit, Micah brings a fresh voice to both solo and ensemble settings. His work often bridges cultures and disciplines, inviting audiences into immersive, boundary-defying musical experiences. Offstage, he is also a dedicated educator who champions creativity and lifelong learning through music.
